About The Conference

Every two years, over one hundred cheese makers, scientists, and members of the cheese industry gather at North Cadbury Court in Somerset for presentation and discussion of current research on topics related to artisan cheese. Since the first conference in 2012, the conference has provided a rare opportunity to share practical and technical information geared specifically toward this specialist audience. Just as importantly, the conferences provide a chance to meet others within the industry and spend two days making connections and exploring new ideas.

“This was one of the best food and farming conferences we have ever attended. For us [the draw] was specific technical information on creating our own natural starters.  But there were many other excellent and interesting technical sessions too.  The networking was tip top.  And it  allowed us to push forward several new cheesemaking projects with a confidence we would not otherwise have had.” – Hugh and Pippa Stables, Wandering Ewe Cheese

“From the lectures, to the farm walks, to the people to the food, this was an amazing event set in a wonderful venue. I benefitted from having exposure to the cutting edge lectures. From the quirky to technical, they all enriched me and gave me a better understanding of cheesemaking. Being able to create connections with other people in the cheese industry was also a huge benefit. It’s gatherings like this that working in the cheese industry is all about!” – Sebastian Delemothe

We hope that you can join us in 2024!
