Once again this year, the Virtual Cheese Awards is generously subsidising the participation of up to ten members of the British cheese industry or those whose work directly benefits it, who due to financial constraints might not otherwise be able to attend.

“Attending the conference was a breath of fresh air and a real highlight of the year for me. I would strongly encourage anyone to consider applying for a bursary if money might otherwise be a reason for them not to attend; it is important for all kinds of cheesemakers and people from across the artisan cheese and farming sectors to be represented. And best of all, you will have a great time and come away with lots of new friends and ideas!”

Rachel Yarrow, Norton & Yarrow Cheese

“I had the opportunity to meet, connect with and get to know people who with similar interests and/or similar lives to me who would otherwise be too busy or too far away to meet.┬áThis event brings together a unique combination of people and being part of (or simply witnessing) the resulting discussions is really exciting and thought-provoking. Some of the connections I made during the conference had an enormous impact on how my life played out in the year that followed. Honestly, it was one of the highlights of my year!”
